Background

On the outskirts of Remora - Myrl's only civilian settlement project - lies an expansive cave network that the locals called 'Myaraje', meaning 'Gate of Wonder' in the Euuzic language. During a geological survey of the cave network, speleologists discovered a supermassive rhodonite crystal, which was later named 'The Aurathel'. At the time, it was a geological anomaly, with some locals believing that the crystal held 'protective powers'. 

After the Ultima War, the settlement was abandoned and left in ruin, with the only civilians remaining being those of the religion based around the Aurathel. Seeking to rebuild, they requested the assistance of numerous organizations, all of which declined the offer. Desperate, they accepted a late offer from the ISF, which wanted to turn a portion of the cave network into a racing circuit. In exchange, they would support the settlement and fund rebuilding projects.

Nowadays, Remora is a thriving tourist settlement and the only trace of human activity on the toxic planet. One of their main sources of income comes from the HSRL, where Myaraje (englified to the word 'Mirage') stands as one of the league's most difficult and dangerous circuits. Though unexpectedly, no major incidents have occurred, and all crashes have resulted in the pilot walking away with minor injuries.
