Welcome to the HSRL
Let's get you started.
Let's get you started.
- You, probably
The Hydrus Spacecraft Racing League [HSRL] is Astrocraft's premier sport. Here, you can find high-speed racing in six different race courses! Bored of sitting in spawn? Don't want to do PvP? This might just be the fix you'll need.
We're a very open community, so come join the fun - the more, the merrier! (plus, you look cool when going fast)
HS300 Series 1 Podium (iifanikWolf, fkonsk, subopical)
- You, hopefully
Feel free to try out racing for yourself in Astrocraft's Event server! If you're going there from the game's Universe server, it will be labeled as "PvP".
Upon arriving, you'll see the HSRL terminal to your right, where you can spawn in each of our tracks. To get started, make sure you join the purple team (Psi), as every track will spawn around their asteroid base. Once you click on any track from the terminal to spawn it in, you can click it again to teleport to the track's paddock (excluding Simulated Racing Domain). From there, you can click on the "Spawn starter racer" terminal to spawn in the game's default racer.
From there, you can start flying through!
We suggest you start off with our beginner track, Rod Canyon
Hexagon Project 3, HSRL's official starter racecraft
Of course! We love seeing people making their own racers! If you want to make an HSRL-eligible racer, you'll have to follow some guidelines (mandatory if you want to compete for positions on the leaderboard). We have two classes of spacecraft:
HS300
HSRL events mainly run with HS300 class racers in mind, which aim to make the actual ships as close to each other as possible.
HS500
If you want less limits on your ship, then the HS500 class is for you. While it may not qualify for most HSRL events, it still has a place in the league, allowing you to maximize your engineering potential.
Endurance Prototype 1 [EP1]
EP1 class racers are meant for the Interplanetary Endurance Series, where teams have to cover as much distance as possible in a given time. These racers are significantly slower compared to their HS-X counterparts.
Player-made racecraft (Ramming Speed RX3 FD, Hexagon Project 2a, Epsilon AL5)
If you want to take it a step further, you can create your own team! Grab some friends and work together to compete against other teams!
Teams allow folks to get more creative and further represent themselves in the league. Being in a team also gives you access to our main events, the HS300 Series and Interplanetary Endurance Series.
The HS300 Series gathers pilots and teams together to compete for the ultimate title: world champion. It is a rally style championship, where pilots race against the clock and earn points based on how quick they are compared to others.
People here can compete for two titles - HS300 Pilots Champion, focusing on the individual piloting the ship, and HS300 Constructors Champion, focusing on the team as a whole.
As of October 28 2024, the HS300 Championship has been put on an indefinite hiatus. But who knows‽ Maybe it'll come back at some point.
Here lies an alternative (CSR is completely unaffiliated with the HSRL, we do not ensure quality).Great! The HSRL roots itself in our community Discord server, so make sure you join!
This is where we notify pilots about any events, and where you can submit times, talk to people, and ask questions.
