REGULATIONS
REVISED AUGUST 20 2024
REVISED AUGUST 20 2024
The following ship class regulations [Endurance Prototype 1] are set forth to ensure a fair and competitive environment within the Interplanetary Endurance Series.
Competing spacecraft are limited to the utilization of a specific set of size 2 [2x2] components (listed below). These components cannot be manipulated by a servomotor.
1.1. One gyroscope
1.2. Three reactors
1.3. Three forward & upward engines
1.4. Two leftward & rightward engines
1.5. Two reverse engines
1.6. One downward engine
All participating spacecraft must adhere to a set acceleration spec
2.1. Forward and upward: 280st/s²
2.2. Left and right: 185st/s²
2.3. Downward: 90st/s²
2.4. Reverse: No set acceleration spec (up to pilot preference)
Competing spacecraft physical dimensions must fall within the designated limitations.
Minimum dimensions are established at 7 x 5 x 14.6 studs, with a maximum set at 15 x 8 x 28 studs.
3.1. Spacecraft must follow the dual-prong form factor.
3.2. This must be checked at normal orientation, where the control seat has zero X or Z rotation.
3.3. Folding & extension mechanisms which result in a protrusion of the specified box during flight are strictly prohibited.
3.4. The front of the control seat must point towards the front face of the limiting box at all times. The control seat cannot be manipulated by a servomotor.
All competing spacecraft must possess a minimum weight of 615 units, with a maximum weight of 620 units.
All parts must have collisions toggled on.
5.1. Parts used for decal work, or to access the control seat may be exempted.
All competing spacecraft must be outfitted with a discernable interior design element.
6.1. Components must not be obviously visible in first-person view.
Each spacecraft must conspicuously exhibit the official IES-EP1 class decal. Said decal can be retrieved from the #decals-graphics channel on the designated HSRL server.
7.1. The decal is to be placed on an "Institutional White" coloured brick, with material set to "Smooth Plastic" & fully opaque (transparency = 0). Minimum brick dimensions (with the decal on the top face) are 0.6 x 0.01 x 0.6
7.2. The class decal requirement necessitates clear and unobstructed visual identification from an external perspective while the spacecraft remains stationary.
All competing spacecraft are subject to a minimum standard of visual appeal. Engine boxes and the mere stacking of bare components solely for function are expressly forbidden, and will result in a rejected time submission.
Competing spacecraft must have a public copy available for purchase.
9.1. A minimum of two copies must be available for purchase.
9.2. Bodywork, internals and any other technology must be identical to the race version.
9.3. Public copies may have a separate livery.
9.4. Pricing is set at a maximum of 1500 credits.
9.5. Teams with a racecraft supplier (customer teams) are exempt from Section 9.
OBS and Medal are typically used to record runs for submission.
To edit your recordings, editing software such as Resolve and Premiere are utilized.
2.1. If you want to stick to online resources, I find that this website works well.
2.2. If you need to compress your video to upload it onto Discord, use 8mb.video.
The usage of Phase 3 lighting is recommended for maps like Mirage & SRD, where lighting can be inconsistent.
3.1. Please utilize Bloxstrap to achieve this.
